TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
This Statement outlines the terms and conditions governing all sales and purchases made through this website, regardless of whether the order was transmitted via the internet, telephone or post. By accessing, browsing and/or using this website you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use this site.
All prices quoted are subject to change at any time at the discretion of The Home & Office Stores All prices are quoted in Great British Pounds (GBP, £). The Home & Office Stores reserves the right to reject any orders which include incorrect prices which may occur due to data entry errors, code errors, hacking, incorrect pricing provided by manufacturer, translation errors etc.
We can send your order anywhere within the United Kingdom. We ship all products within the UK free of charge via a specialist furniture delivery company. This usually takes between 1 to 28 working days depending on the delivery service in the destination area, also the size and weight of the items to be delivered.
Payment options provided by The Home & Office Stores include Paypal Express Checkout, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express and Cheque. Cheques can be either personal or bank draft, and are to be made payable to: The Home & Office Stores. Please post to Unit A, 6 Dragon Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 5DF. All cheques will require to be 'cleared' by the bank before goods can be dispatched. This may require 10-15 days.
In the unlikely event of goods requiring to be returned we have established a returns procedure which has been designed to cause you minimum inconvenience.
If an order has been dispatched by courier and is not received or if an item is received and it is either damaged or faulty, a return claim MUST be filed with The Home & Office Stores within 3 days from date of receipt of goods.

1. Replacement: If possible, first a replacement will be sent, subject to availability.
2. Refund: If a refund is required, it will be provided according to the original payment (i.e. if payment was made on Visa, the visa will be credited. If the item was purchased using Paypal, the debited Paypal account shall be credited).
1.0 Suspected faulty Item
Email Technical Support on email@example.com Items which are faulty must be returned within the warranty period (12 months standard warranty for most products).
If the item is diagnosed faulty by our technicians, we will do our best to provide a replacement within 3-5 working days providing the item is in stock at our warehouse.
2.0 Item missing or incorrect item sent
Should you receive goods that do not correspond with the description of the ordered goods then you should contact Customer Service Support by email at firstname.lastname@example.org within 3 days of receiving the order.
3.0 Signing for goods
All items must be checked on delivery before signing for the item when a recorded delivery method is used. If the item looks damaged, please refuse the delivery and contact our Customer Services department by email at email@example.com
4.0 Damaged item
For mail order goods only. In the event that you receive a damaged item, contact Customer Service Support by email at firstname.lastname@example.org within 72 hours of receiving the order. A replacement will not be sent until the damaged item has been returned and inspected or in most cases we will ask for a photo of the damage which speeds up the process and is better for the environment.
5.0 Unwanted Or Incompatible Goods
If you purchased the goods online and are a consumer (a private person buying for their personal use) then you may cancel your purchase at any time within 30 working days of receipt starting the day after delivery by informing The Home & Office Stores in writing (email, fax or letter) and we will give you a refund of the price paid for the product, original shipping costs will not be refunded and will be deducted from the refund total. It is a pre-condition to our acceptance of these unwanted goods that they are returned in an unassembled and unused condition, complete and in a condition reflecting your statutory duty of care (at your own cost).
In order to return the goods to us you must firstly obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation number (RMA) from our Customer Services on email@example.com or Returns Department on 01423 544757. The return will be authorised once the RMA is issued and you should then return the goods at your own cost and risk. It is your responsibility to ensure that the items reach us safely and in a satisfactory condition. We recommend that you take out insurance cover and that the goods should be sent by recorded or registered post or with a reputable courier. We cannot accept any liability for goods that are damaged in transit and would recommend that you ensure that the goods are sufficiently packaged to prevent this from happening.
6.0 When returning Items
All returned items must be in original packaging. The Home & Office Stores will not be liable for any damage to items that are not adequately packaged and damaged in transit to The Home & Office Stores.

Please Note, if products purchased from The Home & Office Stores are found returned faulty due to accident, neglect or misuse you will not be able to return the item to us. We are responsible for reporting any illegal activities to the authorities. This does not affect your statutory rights.
The Home & Office Stores can not be held liable for any loss of data stored on any electrical product sent for testing. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that data is backed up where possible before returning the product.
